Welcome to Ghost

I've heard about Ghost for quite some time (both the product and the company) and today was a good opportunity to start exploring it by installing it to use as my new blog.

Wow.

The install process is simple and soft butter smooth (for someone who know their way around a linux command line and DNS configuration). The entire install process took maybe 12 minutes, most of which was waiting for the server to install packages and update.

It's great to see complex software applications like Ghost beautifully packaged in a way that makes it (relatively) simple for users to install. As a looooong time WordPress user I'm very impressed at the ease in which I was able to get up and running and start editing my first blog post.

Over the few days I'll be configuring Ghost and exploring various features and integrations. I have a number of opportunities for blogs coming up so I'm excited to test Ghost as last.
